This makes the AppImage 24 MiB, and this is a simple app it doesn't really need hardware acceleration.

Yes, but only by about 100ms at best

It would be good to have 1 variable for this, like GTK_DISABLE_VULKAN_OPENGL=1 in quick-sharun or similar

GTK_DISABLE_GPU_ACCEL=1 might be a better name

tested working in ubuntu 14.04

It likely works in 10.04 as well, but I cannot get the vm to recognize my flash drive anymore so I cannot transfer the appimage lol, 14.04 is the oldest I have that has working internet.

Ok, but often times we need to remove mesa from the container, need to see if I can avoid this.
