Fix error suppression for failed gherkin step

Motivation/Description of the PR

• Accidently broke gherkin when trying to catch error in feat: add status, start/end time, and matchline for bddStep event #2678. Meant to throw error after evaluating it. Currently if gherkin step encounters an error, it will return and other steps within the gherkin step wont run.

Hopefully @DavertMik can take a look soon and merge. In the meantime you can probably just downgrade to 3.0.2 unless there was something you specifically needed in the higher version

Our unit tests were broken here, swallowing the error, so it missed this! I've fixed the unit tests in this pr too :) thanks for the fix!
