restarting an optimization procedure

Is there any way to Cache an optimization process and continue from the checkpoint?

check out section 4 of this notebook. Is that what you're looking for?

Edit: Be aware that doing this with constrained optimization requires #368 which is merged here but not yet packaged for release.
