What happened?

With any version of FreeBSD (13,14,15) as a guest on 7.2.6 (Fedora 42) the VM freezes after ifconfig vtnet0 up

This worked with 7.2.4.

How can we reproduce this?

With 7.2.6 host (tested with Fedora 42 and reports of Ubuntu 25.10) and any FreeBSD 13, 14, ior 15 guest bringing up a vtnet interface will freeze the VM: ifconfig vtnet0 up.

The console still accepts returns, you can switch virtual terminals however they don't accept keyboard input. You can't cancel the command and any attempts to ssh fails. A hard reboot is required.
