Crosshair behavior issues

Crosshair has the following behaviors that are not intuitive (or are annoying):

1. Initially, when an image is loaded, crosshair updates its position as mouse hovers over an image. However, after a click the crosshair stops updating and only updates on clicks.
2. Scrolling to change a slice makes the crosshair disappear, which re-appears on mouse-move.
3. Tooltip on the crosshair button uses plural Crosshairs rather than Crosshair.

Haven't addressed this yet.
I have checked 3D Slicer for how it behaves. It uses a key modifier (shift key) to move the cursor point when the mouse moves around. Releasing the shift key drops the cursor. So the cursor won't just move around if you are idling over any viewport without the modifier key.
