After receiving the Copilot free trial for 30 days, can one still apply for the Copilot free 2-year student certification from GitHub?
I like Copilot and I want to use it now.

You can still apply for the GitHub Copilot 2-year student benefit even if you've already used the 30-day free trial.
After your eligibility is verified through GitHub Student Developer Pack, you should receive the 2-year Copilot student license.
If you have not received it after three days, I recommend contacting GitHub Education support or checking your application status again.

Yes, you can apply even if you are using the 30-day trial. When your benefits become available, I recommend removing any payment method you've added, as it's not necessary for students and teachers verified with GitHub Education.

The waiting time may vary depending on different factors, such as the volume of requests; it usually takes a few days, but sometimes it can take a little longer, even a couple of weeks.

Once available, you can claim your Copilot PRO offer on this signup link.

To redeem others benefits, go to the pack offers page, scroll down to the "All offers" section and select any offer that suits you.

In case you encounter a problem claiming any offer, I recommend you raise a ticket here, select "I am a verified student having trouble redeeming my Global Campus offers" and explain your issue.

Receiving the 30-day Copilot trial does not prevent you from applying for the 2-year free student access. Once your academic status is verified through the GitHub Student Developer Pack, your Copilot plan will switch to the free student subscription automatically—no additional payment or action needed.

If the trial ends before verification is complete, you can still activate the student plan as soon as your status is approved.
